Soldier On

Sometimes I wonder how much longer I'll keep this blog up, at least at the pretty hefty pace it's been going for the past two (!) years. Now that we've settled into Seattle life, there are only so many fun new things to report before it becomes pretty intense naval gazing.

Some days it's hard to come up with anything interesting to talk about, or seems like a chore that I know I have to do. February was a record low of 18 posts! (I blame most of that on the short month. Stupid 28 days.)

But then other times it feels really great and fun to write, a way to be creative and keep everyone back home up to speed on day-to-day life in Seattle and brush up on my grammar skills (cuz sumtims i feel lyk i can actually feel me gittin dummer readin fb comments allllllllll day long 4 werk <--- not an exaggeration, sadly). I'll find myself in the shower plotting out a post I plan to write, or taking a bunch of pictures of food/the outdoors/whatever just in case I decided to blog about something.

And some days like yesterday, it feels great to get to write a post, one that both of my sisters texted me last night to tell me they enjoyed. So, at least for now, I'll keep on keepin' on and hope it's remotely interesting. (But if I haven't blogged for a few days, I'm not dead.)

(Unless I am.)

(Then please avenge my death.)

(Thanks.)

  1. I've been lurking your blog for awhile--not in a creepy way I swear!

Just gotta say, I love your style/posts. They're always quick and fun, and you do a great job at sharing the less than groundbreaking details of your life, which can be hard to do via blog.

  2. Are you kidding me? This is one of the high points of my day (but then I guess I am prejudiced).
